Semel ergo breue præceptũ tibi præcipitur: Dilige, & quod vis fac: Siue taceas, dilectione taceas; ſive clames, dilectione clames; ſive emendes, dilectione emendes; sive parcas, dilectione parcas: radix ſit intùs dilectionis, nõ poteſt de iſta radice niſi bonũ exiſtere. |
Translation | Therefore a short prescription is prescribed to you: Love and do what you want: If you are silent, be silent with love; if you cry, cry for love; if you buy, you buy with love; if you are thrifty, be thrifty with love: if the root is love, goodness can only arise from that root. |
